Clutter in the house

by Kimberly Schoobaar To December 26, 2020

Sure. You know the drill. Kids make messes and it just piles up. Because, of course, you're too busy cooking, nursing, etc. I'm going to tell you how to combine this well.

Toys

Your children naturally want everything that is in the toy store. Therefore, you must learn to say no. It is important to teach your children from an early age to clean up their own toys. For this, it is best to have a storage basket purchase. This way they learn faster because it has a fixed place in the house. You can also make it a game so it stays fun for them.

Tips for a tidier home

1: Don't get unnecessary itemsIt may sound logical but buy as few trinkets and stuffs as possible. You will always find yourself leaving unnecessary items lying around more often.

2: Keep a schedule. This is a very effective way to keep the house tidier. Make a clear schedule with times, days and tasks. That way you know where you stand and nothing piles up.

3: Give everyone their own task. For example, you can give your toddler the task of helping you pack the dishwasher. This way they learn faster and are more likely to clean up their own messes and keep them neat as well.

4: Keep cleaning wipes handy. Kids mess a lot. That's just the way it is. It's more convenient to keep these wipes on hand so that every time there's a mess, you don't have to pull out all sorts of things before it's clean.

5: 1 Room at a Time. If you are cleaning the whole house, do 1 room at a time. If you're cleaning multiple rooms at once, it can become too chaotic in your mind and this creates more stress.

6: Work from top to bottom. This is the best way to clean. For example, if you are cleaning downstairs and then have to do upstairs, you have to lug all the dirty things up through the living room. That way you can start all over again.

I am ashamed of the mess

You certainly don't need to be embarrassed. Don't worry. No one has a perfectly clean house. Especially not with children. Just make sure you keep everything in good order and find a good routine for yourself.
